Thankfully, it's that series which forms the foundation for this timely comeback, and while the timing might whiff of rushed opportunism, Ashes 2009 goes someway to building upon the solid schematics laid out by Codemasters' past cricket games. The relationship between the sport and videogames has been sporadic, and one that's produced a series of questionable cash-ins from Electronic Arts, as well as some more robust efforts from Codemasters in the form of the Brian Lara games. It also explains the fact that, after a near three year absence, cricket is returning to the current generation of consoles. ![]() Is that you KP? The player likenesses are a little off.
